Terms of Service

Qardella lets renters build one rental profile, the Qard: identity, income, employment, rental history, references, and documents, and share it with the property managers they choose. Property managers receive shared Qards, confirm tenancy facts about their own former tenants, and request screening details with the renter’s signed authorization.

Qardella does not make, recommend, or influence leasing decisions. It does not approve or decline anyone, score renters, or rank applicants. Every decision about renting belongs to the people involved.

You sign in with your email address or your Google account. There is no password: a code sent to your email opens your account, so protect your inbox.

You must be at least 18, and the information you enter must be true, accurate, and yours. Creating an account for someone else, impersonating another person, or entering false information breaks these terms and ends your account.

Everything you put into Qardella remains yours. You grant Qardella a limited license to store, process, and display it, solely to run the service and solely for the people you chose to share it with.

You control what each shared Qard includes, you can pause or end sharing links at any time, and you can delete everything from Settings. Qardella never sells your information and never shows it to anyone you have not shared it with. The Privacy Policy says exactly what is collected and who sees it.

Connecting a bank is your choice. Connections run through Plaid, and by connecting you also agree to the Plaid End User Privacy Policy. Qardella’s access is read-only, and it never receives your bank username or password. Nothing found in your transactions lands on your Qard until you approve it.

Every fact on a Qard carries one of three statuses: Self-reported (entered by the renter), Documented (a supporting document is on file), and Verified (confirmed by bank activity or by a past landlord). These statuses describe where a fact came from. They are not a guarantee by Qardella that any fact is accurate, and recipients remain responsible for their own judgment and for any independent checks the law allows.

Use what renters share with you only for a genuine leasing relationship or inquiry, keep it confidential, and do not copy, resell, or redistribute it. You are responsible for complying with every law that applies to your leasing decisions, including federal, state, and local fair housing and screening laws.

Screening details (Social Security number, birthday, and ID number) reach you only after the renter signs an authorization naming you. Every reveal is logged, and you use them only for the check the renter authorized.

Tenancy confirmations cover dates and address. Reference answers come only to the property manager who asked, the request is recorded for the renter, and they serve only that property manager’s own decision. Qardella never turns references into scores or ratings and never hosts unrequested commentary about renters.

You agree not to:

• enter false information or documents that are not yours;
• access or attempt to access information that was not shared with you;
• use information from Qardella to harass or discriminate, or for any purpose outside a genuine rental relationship;
• scrape, probe, or disrupt the service; or
• use Qardella for anything unlawful.

Qardella is free to use today. Any paid feature is priced clearly before you pay for anything. Qardella never charges renters an application fee.

You can stop using Qardella and delete everything from Settings at any time. Qardella closes accounts that break these terms, enter false information, or misuse other people’s information.

Qardella is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, Qardella and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for decisions renters or property managers make using the service. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.

Material changes to these terms are announced before they take effect. The date at the top is the version in force.
